Dnepropetrovsk pipe plant to intend to dismiss 1.4 thousand workers

Administration of Dnepropetrovsk pipe plant (DTZ), which is controlled by shareholders of the corporation Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD, Donetsk), intends to disrupt the previous agreements with the Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration and trade unions on resumption of the enterprise’s work and to cut down about 1 400 people .

As the Chairman of the regional committee of the trade union of metallurgists and miners of the Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk region Vasily Shevchenko reported on Monday, the company's Management doesn’t fulfill its obligations.

"As it turned out, some of the plant’s leaders just pulled the wool over eyes, announced plans to resume work and not to dismiss people, but the real situation is different," - he said.
