Bashneft has protected itself from the claims of the minority shareholders

Bashneft has returned control over Bashneft Polyus, the joint venture with Lukoil that holds the licenses for the Trebs and Titov deposits. It lowers the chances of the minority shareholder of Bashneft contesting the transaction, RBC Daily writes.

Bashneft says in the report for Q2 2014 that on May 23rd the company introduced the amendments to the shareholders agreement with Lukoil, having returned with its help the control over operational and financial activity of Bashneft Polyus. Bashneft transferred that day to the joint venture the licenses for the Trebs and Titov deposits with reserves of 140 million tons.

Neither Bashneft nor Lukoil representatives give any comments about the issue.
