Gas reverse from Slovakia not to reach 10 billion cubic meters

The declared volume of reverse supplies of 27 million cubic meters per day, or about 10 billion cubic meters per year from the territory of Slovakia to the Ukraine looks overstated, analysts, polled by the RIA Novosti, think.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the commercial gas supplies to the Ukraine in the reverse mode by the Voyany-Uzhgorod gas pipeline were official started. According to Ukrainian mass media, the cost of the reverse gas supplies will be about $360 per 1 thousand cubic meter.s

"I don’t think that such volumes will be reached. Technically it is possible to pump up to 2 billion cubic meters per year,"- portfolio manager of Ankor Invest, Sergei Vakhrameev believes. According to the analyst, the obstacle to such a volume of the reverse is the arrangement of Slovakia with Gazprom. The analyst called the statements of the Ukrainian representatives about the reverse populist.
