The RF Ministry of Natural Resources has received the order of President Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev to check the progress of competition in the land of the East Taimyr oil and gas area. In August the results of the competition, which was won by LUKOIL, were challenged by "Rosneft", having achieved security measures in a court, including a ban on the issuance of a license to LUKOIL. Underlying the conflict is considered the fact that the company that owns the license has a greater chance for the development of the marine part of the site.
