In January – September, SOCAR exported 2.079 million tons of oil. Exports were 242,339 tons in January, 318,596 tons in February, 238,266 tons in March, 242,367 tons in April, 80,784 tons in May, 242,325 tons in June, 157,690 tons in July, 315,388 tons in August, and 242,215 tons in September. In 2012, exports via the pipeline were 2.742 million tons. The pipeline exports only oil extracted at the Chirag deposits within the Azer-Chirag-Gyuneshli project. The operator of the project is BP.
