Shell has discovered gas in the first ‘shale’ well

The British and Dutch company Shell has completed the drilling of the first exploration well Belyayevskaya-400 at the Pavlovsko-Svetlovsky license gas site in the Kharkov region in the Ukraine, and confirmed the presence of gas reserves there. It was reported by the press-service of the Kharkov regional state administration that referred to the interview of the Deputy Chairman of the regional administration, Y. Sapronov. They have passed the projected 5,000 m, and have obtained a positive show of  gas. Mr. Sapronov hopes that by 2020 the Ukraine will succeed in the full provision of its internal gas needs of the citizens and industry, and to become a gas exporter in the future.
