Petronas builds new offshore oil platforms in Turkmenistan.

This year Malaysian Petronas Charigali (Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd.), involved into the development of oil fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, commissioned a new offshore oil platform, according to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan.

"By installing new offshore production platforms and upgrading coastal infrastructure, the company "Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd." expects to significantly increase oil production. The long-term plan includes the development of the previously almost untouched by the development fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea with sufficient reserves of oil", - according to the information.
