Turkey increased gas imports

In Jan-September 2015 Botas imported 29.82 bln cubic m of gas from various sources – by 3.3% more than in Jan-September 2014 (28.88 bln cubic m), Botas reports.

Turkey imports gas from Azerbaijan by the South-Caucasus pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum). Turkey has a contract for the annual purchase of 6.6 bln cubic m of gas from Shakh-Deniz.

In 2014 Botas imported almost 40 bln cubic m of gas from various sources against 36.1 bln cubic m in 2013.

In Jan-September 2015 Botas exported 486 mln cubic m of gas against 531 mln cubic m in 2014. In 2014 the company exported 644 mln cubic m of gas against 694 mln cubic m in 2013.

In Jan-September 2015, 29.58 bln cubic m of gas were sold in the domestic market of Turkey against 29.45 bln in Jan-September 2014. On the results of 2014 this rate made up 40.81 bln cubic m of gas (37.96 bln cubic m in 2013).
