Nigeria LNG eager to cooperate with Gazprom

​Nigeria LNG doesn’t exclude a possibility of a long-term contract with Gazprom on the sale of LNG, the PR manager of Nigeria LNG, K. Ekev, said.

According to him, the company sees Gazprom’s interest in LNG in South African Republic and if Gazprom offers cooperation, Nigeria LNG will not refuse.

On November 30th 2015 Gazprom’s affiliate - Gazprom Marketing and Trading Singapore Pte Ltd – signed an agreement ton the purchase of LNG from a floating LNG plant – Hilli that works at the coast of Cameroon.

The first LNG supplies from this plant are expected in H2 2017.

The executive director of Gazprom Marketing and Trading Singapore Pte Ltd, F. Barno, admitted a possibility of cooperation with the plant from Nigeria.

Nigeria LNG is the operator of the 2nd largest LNG plant in the world in Nigeria.

The proven gas reserves in Nigeria make up 5.1 trln cubic m, potential reserves – 17 trln cubic m.
