Rosneft increased energy efficiency by 34.5% over 9 months

In the framework of realization of the Energy saving Program, in Jan-September 2015 Rosneft saved 708 thousand tons of fuel and energy resources or about 5 bln roubles in monetary form. This is by 34.5% more than in Jan-December 2014.

It was possible to reach such high results due to the implementation of a number of innovation projects, including those suggested by the employees of the company and its affiliates, as well as effective realization of the Energy Saving Program. To coordinate the development of this direction Rosneft has a special committee for energy efficiency as well as holds the annual corporate forum “Energy Saving in oil extraction sector”. The main goal of this forum is the foundation of a common information field for the issues and problems of energy efficiency growth. In 2015 at the meeting held in RN-Krasnodarneftegas the reports of the realization of the pilot and industrial tests of energy efficient equipment and technologies, technical decisions allowing to reduce energy expenditure without the attraction of significant investment were made.
