Main problems of pipelines at the Kashagan field are found at welding spots

The main problems of pipelines at the Kashagan field have occurred at welding spots,the  Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas, Uzakbai Karabalin reported to journalists on Tuesday.

“Actually, the main part of problems is near the welding spots. It’s difficult to say why, because we don’t have a final decision. But it’s obvious that shortness takes place mainly in welding spots,” – he said to journalists on the margins of the government session in Astana. The Minister noted that the Kazakh party hasn’t received final results of the oil and gas pipelines inspection.
