Nikolaev alumina plant exceeds alumina production plan

In 2014,the Nikolaev alumina plant (NGZ, part of UC RusAl) produced 1.455 million tons of alumina against the business plan of 1.428 million tons. The plan is fulfilled 101.9%.
They have managed to reduce the use heating by 4.1%, electric power – by 1.3%, compressed air – 2.6% because of the optimization of the equipment operation, a reduction of losses, a change of concentration and temperature production conditions. The economies made up $3.81 per 1 ton of end product.
