Polymetal has won the auction for gold and silver of Nizhny Birkachan in Kolyma

​The “Omolon” mining plant (in the structure of Polymetal) has won the auction for the Nizhny Birkachan site in the Magadan region with the forecast resources of 14 tons of gold and 34 tons of silver.

The company offered 8.25 mln roubles for the site at the start-up payment of 7.5 mln roubles. “Polymetal Shakhtoprokhodka” Ltd also participated in the auction.

The Nizhny Birkachan site is located in the North-Evensk district, 390 km off the Evensk village to the north and 370 km off the Omsukchan village to the north-east. The area of the site is 182.5 sq km. The P2 resources make up: gold -10 tons, silver-18 tons; P3: gold -4 tons, silver – 16 tons. The license is issued for 25 years.

The appointed for February 2nd auction for ore occurrence Surmyanoe-Krokhlinskoe was not held due to the absence of applicants.

The Surmyanoe-Krokhlinskoe ore occurrence is located in the Yagodninsky and Srednekansky districts, in the basin of the Surmyany stream. Its P2 resources make up: gold – 3 tons, stibium – 7 thousand tons. The license is issued for 25 years. The start-up payment at the auction amounted to 2.15 mln roubles.
