Gas production at the Karachaganak field may reach 40 billion cubic meters per year

Gas production at the giant oil and gas condensate field Karachaganak (the West-Kazakhstan region), which develops by consortium Karachaganak Petroleum Operating may increase from the current 17 billion cubic meters to 40 billion cubic meters per year, chairman of the KazMunaiGas’ management Sauat Mynbaev reported at the press conference in the Service of central communication lines in Astana on Tuesday.

He said that significant increase of the gas production at this field might be reached in case of implementation of the production extension project – so called Stage 3.
