Idrisov calls European companies to take part in development of energy infrastructure of Kazakhstan

On March 2-3, 2015, Brussels was visited by Kazakh delegation, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrisov, who took part at the 14th meeting of the Cooperation Council "Kazakhstan – the European Union", the main body of the bilateral cooperation with Europe, the press centre of the Foreign Ministry reports.

The EU delegation was headed by E. Rinkevichs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, which presides over the EU till July 2015.

"During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of the bilateral cooperation, including politics, economy, trade and investment, scientific and technological cooperation, consular and legal issues, relation between Central Asia and the EU, as well as exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda," – the statement said.

E. Idrisov noted that the successful completion of negotiations on a new agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation and on accession of Kazakhstan to the WTO during the visit of the Head of the state in Brussels last year was an important milestone in the relations between Kazakhstan and the EU.
