TANAP to win from the freezing of Turkish Stream

​The freezing of Turkish Stream increases the importance of TANAP that presupposes Azeri gas supply to Turkey and EU, the head of TANAP, S. Dyuzoil, said.

Botas expects to receive the first Azeri gas by TANAP in the framework of the Shakh-Deniz-2 in 2018.

According to Mr. Dyuzoil, the initial throughput capacity of TANAP will make up 16 bln cubic m of gas a year, 6 bln of which will go to Turkey, 10 bln – to the EU.

On the account of construction of the additional compressor stations the capacity of TANAP might rise to 31 bln cubic m of gas a year.

In case of necessity Turkey might also increase the purchase of the Azeri gas by TANAP up to 21 bln cubic m.
