Rosneft hopes to start the construction of new drilling units for the development of the Arctic deposits in late 2015-early 2016. The deputy head of the center of ecological safety and technologies of Rosneft, O. Sochnev, said at the international conference SubSeaTECH 2014 in Saint-Petersburg. According to him, until the end of 2014 it is planned to determine the conception of the program for drilling units construction. In the framework of the program it is planned to construct gravity units aimed for drilling at the depth up to 60 m as well as floating units necessary for working at deep layers.
