In 2018 Turkey to receive 2 bln cubic m of Azeri gas in the framework of Shakh-Deniz-2

​The volume of gas supply to Turkey in the framework of Shakh-Deniz-2 in 2018 will make up 2 bln cubic m, SOCAR reported.

The start of gas supply to Turkey by the TANAP in the framework of Shakh-Deniz-2 is expected in July 2018. The first year the volume of supplies to Turkey will amount to 2 bln cubic m, the second year – 4 bln cubic m, later – 6 bln cubic m yearly.

Gas supply to Turkey in the framework of Shakh-Deniz-2 will be effected on the basis of the gas purchase-and-sale contract signed with Botas in October 2011.

TANAP is meant for Azeri gas pumping from Shakh-Deniz-2 from the border of Georgia-Turkey to the western borders of Turkey.
