Poland and Slovakia are more and more interested in Nord Stream-2

Slovak gas transmission network operator Eustream will only gain from intentions of the Polish company Gaz-System to join the North Stream-2 gas pipeline, as Slovakia intends to buy Russian gas on the Polish market, writes the Natural Gas Europe (NGE).

"The Slovak suppliers will be able to import gas to the Polish market, including gas from Nord Stream-2 and regasified liquefied natural gas," – NGE explains.

"Eustream says that this pipeline supports the diversification of the supply and competitiveness on the internal EU gas market, and also ensures the reliable gas supplies to Poland and Slovakia," – the information resources reports, noting that the pipe is in fact an integral part of a priority for the EU corridor North-South.
