In the first 7 months, gas production in Russia fell by 1.7%

In January-July,gas production in Russia decreased by 1.7% as compared with the same period of the previous year and amounted to 374.688 billion cubic meters; exports increased by 4.4% to 117.003 billion cubic meters, the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector reports.

In the seven months, the largest Russian gas producer Gazprom reduced its production by 4.7% to 260.881 billion cubic meters. In January-July, Novatek extracted 36.314 billion cubic meters (+ 7.5%).

In January-July, the domestic consumption of Russian gas decreased by 2.3% to 261.284 billion cubic meters. The gas exports to the non-CIS countries amounted to 80.194 billion cubic meters (+ 3.3%), and to the CIS states – 28.295 billion cubic meters (+ 8.8%). In January-July, the acceptance of gas from other countries made up 15.543 billion cubic meters that is by 12.7% more than in the same period of the previous year.
