The head of OMV believes that sanctions against Russia will not interfere with the construction of the "South Stream".

The EU sanctions against Russia will not interfere with the construction of the "South Stream" gas pipeline, Gerhard Roiss, CEO Austrian oil and gas group OMV, stated in an interview with the Profil magazine.

Roiss, who has always had a negative attitude to the anti-Russian sanctions, stated that "Europe would shoot itself in the foot" if it banned the pipeline construction.
