Oil shipment volume from Kozmino oil port over 11 months made up 14.5 mln tons

The volume of oil shipment from the sea oil port of Kozmino over the first 11 months of 2012 made up 14.5 mln tons.

More than 30% was sent to Japan, 25% to China, almost 20% to the USA. South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia imported less.

The ESPO oil export volume from the Far Eastern terminal of Transneft in November made up 1.6 mln tons, by 33% more against November 2011. The growth was due to the launch of the pier #2 aimed for the port’s capacities growth up to 30 mln tons. The first tanker moored to pier #2 of the sea oil port Kozmino on November 10th 2012 after the holding of the necessary works on the pier’s development and dredging the water area to accept the vessels with the dead weight of 80-120 thousand tons. On November 11-30th another 3 tankers started to be loaded at the new pier.

In December it is planned to export 1.8 mln tons of raw materials from Kozmino, including 6 tanker lots of 100 thousand tons each – due to the operation of pier #2. The total volume of the shipped oil in 2012 is expected to rise to 16.3 mln tons.

The sea oil loading port Kozmino is located at the final point of the ESPO pipeline. The export of the Russian oil via the port in 2011 made up 15.2 mln tons.
