Rosneft to buy a chemical giant Nairit, when it resolves issue with debts

Rosneft studies possible purchase of Armenian chemical rubber giant Nairit, but the final decisions haven’t been made yet. The Deputy Director of the Russian Energy Ministry’s Department Mikhail Pleshkin stated this in interview with the IA Regnum.

“The Russian Ministry of Energy doesn’t take part in this process. The negotiations were held between Rosneft and the Armenian Government. As far as I know, the company is studying the issue, but the final decision hasn’t been made,” - he emphasized, mentioned debts of the chemical enterprise Nairit. “One of the issues that must be resolved is debts of the enterprise. And this is a rather serious amount. As far as I can see these issues must be resolved before they will start the deal,” – the interlocutor said.
