Ankara thinks about alternatives to "Gazprom".
The acute political crisis between Moscow and Ankara has led to the fact that Turkey - the latter growing market of "Gazprom" - followed the example of Europe and began to look for an alternative to Russian gas. Ankara wants to speed up the preparation of new volumes from Azerbaijan to build a pipeline from Kurdistan and thinks about procurement of additional LNG from Qatar. Qatar seems the most realistic option, but according to market participants, the additional purchase of liquefied natural gas for political reasons would lead to financial losses.
