In 2014, Gazprom plans to start industrial gas extraction at the Kirinskoye field

A working meeting of Gazprom’s CEO, Alexei Miller and Governor of the Sakhalin region Alexander Khoroshavin took place in the Gazprom’s headquarter yesterday. The very significant volume of Gazprom’s investments in the territory of the Sakhalin region was noted at the meeting – in 2009-2013 this volume made up over 250 billion rubles.

The funds were mainly used to implement the following strategic projects of Gazprom: the construction of Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas transportation system, the construction of necessary facilities at the Kirinskoye gas condensate field (Sakhalin-3), the construction of a gas pipeline from coastal technological complex of the Kirinskoye field to the head compressor station at Sakhalin of the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok system. In the current year, the volume of capital investments is planned to be 10 billion rubles. The development of the Kirinskoye field will be continued, including operational drilling. In 2014, Gazprom plans to start the industrial production of gas at the Kirinskoye field, the company’s press centre reports.
