The joint venture of Gazprom Neft and Shell has been granted 3 licenses for the sites in the Khanti-Mansi autonomous area this year, the Vice CEO of Gazprom Neft V. Yakovlev says. The licenses were raised on tender basis. They are granted for 5-7 years.
In 2013, Royal Dutch Shell and Gazprom Neft founded the joint venture Khanti-Mansi Oil Alliance CJSC for shale oil development in the region.
