The Vice-President of the EC on Energy Union Maros Šefčovič continues his verbal attack on the Turkish Stream pipeline project. Now the official says that Russia has violated previous legally binding agreements.
There is no information about what specific agreements are violated by the initiative of the Turkish Stream construction. Most likely, Šefčovič himself also doesn’t know this, but in this case the activity level of the European official, not his real actions, is important.
As recently as yesterday, on February 4th, 2015, Šefčovič couldn’t see the economic viability of the Turkish Stream project.
