For the first two months, Chernomorneftegas increased gas production on shelf by 31.7%

In January-February of 2013, Chernomorneftegas produced 227 million cubic meters of natural gas. The growth made up 31.7% or over 54 million cubic meters as compared to the same period of 2012.

According to the company’s press centre, this significant increase of the natural gas production is a result of active works of the company to further develop acting and launch new deposits on shelf of the Black Sea. In the first place – the Odessa gas deposit, located 155 km from the Crimea coast. Last year, the supply of gas from the first producing platform of the field – BK-1 – began. The high-tech jack-up drilling rig Petr Godovanets carried out the drilling at the platform from June of 2012 to do this, and in the latter half of the year a 83-km underwater gas pipeline was constructed for this platform.
