The “Pobeda” deposit might become the basic deposit for the foundation of a large Arctic center of LNG production, Rosneft reports.
Rosneft says that the company increased gas production in 2014 by almost 50% to 56.7 bln cubic m. The revenue from gas sale in the Russian market rose by 72% and made up 165 bln roubles. The growth was reached by the rise of volumes and rise of efficiency of gas sales.
Rosneft discovered a new deposit of superlight oil in the Kara Sea (Pobeda deposit). The resources of the part of rocks where oil is accumulated make up over 100 mln tons. The company registered on balance the reserves of the deposit at the volume of over 130 mln tons of oil and 499.2 bln cubic m of gas.
