Rosneft doesn’t buy currency, but borrows

Yesterday, Rosneft published its consolidated financial statements for the previous year. It says that in December the company raised funding in the form of repo operations using its commercial papers. On the whole, the company borrowed 350 billion expressed in rubles according to the Central Bank’s exchange rate at December 31: 278.24 billion maturing in the fourth quarter of 2017 and 73.33 billion - in the first quarter of this year. Rosneft doesn’t disclose the monetaryy value. The report says only that they were attracted with a floating interest rate. The company also doesn’t say about the currency borrowed. Expressed in dollars at the exchange rate at December 31, the company obtained $6.2 billion.
