In Q1, energy consumption in Russia grew by 1.2%

According to operational data of the System Operator of the Unified Power System (SO UES), in March 2016, the power consumption in the Unified Energy System of Russia amounted to 90.8 billion KW/ h, which is by 0.1% less than the consumption in March 2015. In the whole of Russia, in March 2016, the electricity consumption amounted to 93.3 billion kW/h, which is by 0.2% less than in March 2015.

The total volume of the consumption and generation of electricity in Russia is made up of indicators of the energy consumption and generation of facilities, located in the United Energy System of Russia and facilities, operating in isolated power systems (Taimyr, Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Magadan, Chukotka, the power system of Central and Western Yakutia and in the Crimean power system). The actual performances of the energy systems of isolated areas are presented by subjects of operational dispatch management of these grids.
