CNPC considers the opportunity of increasing its stake in “Yamal LNG”

CNPC considers the opportunity of increasing its stake in the “Yamal LNG” project, Financial Times reports referring to the Vice-Prime Minister of Russia, A. Dvorkovich.

“Novatek already has a partner from China in the “Yamal LNG” project and they have 20%. They consider an opportunity of increasing the stake in the project”, Mr. Dvorkovich said.

In mid April Novatek’s head, L. Mikhelson, said that Novatek planned to sell 9% in the “Yamal LNG” project until mid 2015. He didn’t name any potential buyers.

“Yamal LNG” plans until the end of 2015 to complete the construction of 45% of the LNG plant in Sabetta. Now the project is ready for 25%.
