Samaraneftegas increased oil and gas production in Q1

OJSC “Samaraneftegaz”, an affiliate of an oil company “Rosneft”, increased oil production by 3% up to 2.8 million tons in the first quarter compared to the same period last year. Gas production increased by 4% compared to the plan and made up 169.6 million cubic meters.
As the press-service of Rosneft states, an implementation of scheduled workover plans and additional production of 207.5 thousand tons of oil has contributed to high results. There has been produced over 58 thousand tons of oil at the expense of realization of drilling programme and well re-entry. An insignificant volume of extra oil is due to the appliance of modern methods of oil recovery improvement-hydrofracturing and bottom hole treatment.
