The Turks get cheap gas from Russia.

"Gazprom" gave a discount to private importers.

After months of negotiations "Gazprom" agreed to give discounts to private Turkish companies, which account for over a third of Russian gas imports. The discount, according to sources of "the Kommersant", will be about 25% in Q1 and 15% in Q2, and in May the price will fall to around $ 260 per 1 thousand cubic meters, it should allow the Russian company to maintain its market share. But similar negotiations of "Gazprom" with the state company Botas are still in a deadlock, which casts doubt on the progress of the "Turkish stream" project.
