Russian Arctic Shelf to be kept for state companies says minister

The Government doesn’t discuss the issue on the admission of private companies to the of shelf sites any more, the Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Sergei Dosnkoy stated on Tuesday. But one more state company is likely to be admitted to the shelf: allegedly, the Ministry of Natural Resoucres has made a decision in principle on granting licenses for two Arctic areas to Zarubezhneft.
“The issue with private companies is in the same mode, as it was before. In the coming months, we are unlikely to return to it. We don’t discuss this issue,” – the agency Prime transmits the words of the Minister.
