“Ukrtransgas” is divided into 2 joint-stock companies

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Ukraine has approved the decision to form 2 public companies on the basis of “Ukrtransgas” OJSC – “Ukraine’s gas transport system” and “Ukraine’s gas storage facilities”. The Minister of Energy and Coal industry of the Ukraine, Y. Prodan, said.

According to him, the Government regulation was signed according to which 2 joint-stock companies with 100% state ownership will be formed. One of the companies will work as an independent operator which will work by the European rules, and the company that will have the underground storage facilities in property, he said.
