In 2014, over 40 million tons of oil and about 30 billion cubic meters of gas to be produced in Azerbaijan

41.2 million tons of oil and 28.8 billion cubic meters of gas are planned to be produced in Azerbaijan in 2014, SOCAR’s vice-president for the extraction and transportation of oil and gas, Rahman Gurbanov stated at the XXIth International Exhibition and Conference "Caspian Oil & Gas- 2014” in Baku.

He also noted that 8.4 million tons of oil and 7 billion cubic meters of gas are planned to be produced at the company's fields in the current year.

"In turn,oil production from the Azeri- Chirag-Gyuneshli block will make up 30.6 million tons of oil and 12.4 billion cubic meters of gas. 9.6 billion cubic meters of gas and 2.3 million tons of gas condensate will be produced from the Shah Deniz gas and condensate field," - said Gurbanov.

He emphasized that SOCAR would transfer 6.7 million tons of oil for processing, and would export 1.65 million tons.
