Gazprom to purchase deposits of Yatek in Yakutia

The technical and economic suggestions on the development of the Srednevilyusky, Mastakhsky, Tolokonsky and Tymtaydakhsky subsoil sites in Sakha (Yakutia) for Gazprom will be developed by “Krasnoyarskgazprom neftegasproekt”. The amount of the contract with the latter made up 7.513 mln roubles.

The assessment is held due to the interest of Gazprom in the assets of “Summa” in Yakutia which are operated by its Yakutia subdivision – “Yakutia fuel and energy company” OJSC.

In May the company from Yakutia was reported not to oppose the sale, however, the parties can’t agree on the amount of the contract. Previously Yatek said that the potential of deposits in Yakutia to make up 5 bln cubic m and an opportunity to ship gas to Power of Siberia which is operated by Gazprom.

In 2014 the Ministry of Energy said that Power of Siberia will help to engage into development the deposits belonging to the independent gas producers located along the route of the pipeline, with the additional total extraction of up to 25 bln cubic m a year.
