Russia and EU Commission to analyze the situation in the gas sector of the Ukraine

Russia and the EU Commission will carry out a complex analysis of the situation in the gas sector of the Ukraine and launch proposals during the next trilateral meeting, the Ministry of Energy of Russia reports summarizing the results of the meeting of spokesmen for Gazprom, Ministry and the EU Commission. RIA Novosti reports.

The meeting took place according to bilateral talks on August 29th between the Ministry of Energy of Russia A.Novak and vice-president of the EU Commission G.Oettinger in Moscow.

“They have talked about the prospects of the gas situation's development in the Ukraine in autumn and winter period, focusing on the peak demand. The parties agreed to carry out complex analysis of the data received and introduce it to trilateral meeting in the format Russia-Ukraine-EU,” is said in a statement of the Russian department. As G.Oettinger stated earlier the date for a meeting will be defined after September 8th, when he meets with the Minister of Energy of the Ukraine Y.Prodan in Baku.
