In January – September, Norilsk Nickel reduced nickel production by 5%

In Q3, nickel yield increased by 7% to 72,400 tons, due to restarting of navigation in Zapolyarye subsidiary and increase in nickel matte supplies to Kola GMK, and growth in nickel production at Harjavalta plant in Finland. In January – September, Norilsk Nickel reduced nickel production by 5% to 211,800 tons. The main reasons for the reduction are reduction in nickel matte supplies to Kola GMK due to repairs at Nadezhdinsky metal works and Oktyabrsky mine, early completion of winter navigation and conserving of Lake Johnston enterprise in Q2 2013.
