Russia loses the position of the leader of gas OPEC

Mohammad Hossein Adeli (the former Head of Iranian Central Bank) has become the new leader of the gas OPEC.

Previously Russian citizen Leonid Bokhanovsky was to be in charge of gas OPEC since 2010 (two consecutive terms). As specified by the representative of the Ministry of Energy, the same candidate cannot be promoted for the third term. This year Sergey Pankratov was put forward from the RF.

The new leader Mohammad Hossein Adeli was in charge of Iranian Central Bank for 15 years (1989-1994), in charge of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, worked for British Embassy and in Canada and took other public posts.
