Seismic survey at prospective oil-and-gas sites in Kamchatka started

“Kamchatgeologiya” has started seismic operations at 2 prospective sites of the Pustoretsky downfold zone on the north-west of Kamchatka region. The press-service of the company told ITAR-TASS.
They are about to study geological structure and estimate petroleum potential of the Neogene paleogene Upper Cretaceous deposits. The operation is financed from the federal budget. The contract value, according to the data from an official site of the Russian Federation on order placement, makes up 215 million roubles.
