Gas production to increase by 3% in Sakhalin in 2014

Oil producing companies of the Sakhalin region are about to increase gas production by 1 billion cubic meters up to 28.4 billion cubic meters in 2014, they said to RIA Novosti in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Five companies in the region are engaged in hydrocarbon production. The operators of “Sakhalin-1” and “Sakhalin-2” projects of Exxon Neftegas Limited and Sakhalin Energy produce oil and gas at the shelf of Sakhalin. “RN-Sakhalinmorneftegas” LLC, CJSC “Petrosach” and “Sakhalin Oil Company” produce oil on shore.
