"Gazprom" continues to develop the way into Europe bypassing Ukraine.

"Gazprom" considers building an additional "Nord Stream" branch, it was reported by the department of information after the meeting of chairman Alexei Miller and Matthias Warnig, the head of Nord Stream AG.

The meeting pointed out the possibility of increasing the  capacity of "Nord Stream"  through the Baltic Sea via the construction of additional one or two lines, RBC -Ukraine states.

The statement confirms that "Gazprom" has considered the results of a technoeconomic study conducted by the operating company Nord Stream AG. Nord Stream AG, in turn, conducted an analysis that forms the basis for the further implementation of the project and concluded that the construction of additional pipelines is economically appropriate and feasible both technically and environmentally and in terms of attracting the necessary funding from the  banking sector.
