Flame formation at Russian NLMK

There has been a fire at one of the production sites of “Novolipetsk Iron-and-Steel works”. The fire was put out, with no  reported dead and injured, a spokesman for the Chief Administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Lipetsk region said.

The information arrived from an operator of OJSC “NLMK”. He said there happened fire outbreak at casing, inside an empty wash-oil scrubber at benzol production. The subdivisions of GUMChS Russiain the Lipetsk region started out at the scene of the accident.

“They have found out on arrival that there burn wooden structure of the board lining at the de-mountable scrubber. The scrubber is empty, no life threatening situation, no dead or injured. The fire was put out by 10.50 Moscow time,” a companion of the agency said.
