Russian Railways: in January-February, shipment of ferrous metals decreased by 7.4%

According to the latest information, in February of 2013, the shipment on Russian Railways decreased by 3.2% as compared to last February.

At the same time, in January-February of 2013, the dispatch fell by 4.8% y/y. In particular, for the first two months the following cargo was dispatched:

furnace coke – 2 million tons (-1.9% as compared to the same period of the last year);

iron and manganese ore – 17 million tons (-0.9%);

non-ferrous ore and sulphur raw materials – 3.3 million tons (-9.3%);

ferrous metals – 11.6 million tons (-7.4%);

ferrous metal scrap – 1.6 million tons (-5.5%).
