"The spill occurred on the southern outskirts of the Vostochny village, in the area of oil storage, in the floodplain of the unnamed brook, which flows into Ekhabi Bay. The nearest houses of the village are in 150-200 meters from the site of the spill. The spill was found on March 31, 2015, but the oil leak began earlier, and at least a few days oil was spreading on the ground under snow," - the report said.
