SOCAR to construct offshore base at the Bank Darwin deposit by 2016

SOCAR plans to construct the fixed offshore base #790 at the Bank Darwin deposit by 2016, is reported.
“The offshore base will be constructed on the basis of the project prepared by the Neftqazelmtadqiqatlayihe Institute of SOCAR. Neftqaztikniti is the general contractor for this object”, is reported.
The base is meant for the drilling of 14 operational wells modern drilling equipment will be installed, housing for 37 people, 2 lifting cranes with the capacity of 25 tons each, fire extinguishing and an anticorrosion system, diesel generators to provide a reliable energy supply for the base and other equipment.
