In 2016, the Federal Agency for State Property Management to sell 10.9% of Alrosa

The Finance Ministry hasn’t agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Economic Development for sale of 18.9% stake in the diamond mining company Alrosa in the framework of the privatization, the Ministry insists on the sale of only 10.9%, the Interfax writes, referring to a source in the financial and economic bloc of the Government.

This is confirmed also by a federal official, as well as a source of the Vedomosti, close to Alrosa.

The privatization of the state-owned package in Alrosa (now the Federal Property Management Agency owns 43.9% of the company) will be held in two stages, two officials said to the Vedomosti. Previously, this capability was admitted by the Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev.
