Railway shipment cost rise to cause growth of wholesale prices for oil products by 0.5-1%

​“Ukrainian railroad” PJSC (was founded on the basis of Ukrzaliznitsa) will increase the tariffs for cargo shipment by railway by 15% from May 1st but the average annual growth will make up 10%, the acting head of the company, E. Kravtsov, said.

The company had to make changes into the financial plan as the primary level of tariff growth was not approved.

The financial plant of Ukrzaliznitsa for 2016 the program of capital construction and modernization was reduced, the social program stayed unchanged. In 2016 it is planned to increase the salary to railway workers twice by 5%.

Ukrzaliznitsa planned in 2016 to increase the tariff for cargo shipment by 30% in 2 stages: from Jan 1st 2016 by 15%, from July 1st –by 15%. On March 2nd the Cabinet of Ministers approved the financial plan of the company with the average weighted tariff rise for railway shipment by 1% only, not by 15% as was planned.
